Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylic White Gesso has a superior quality Professional Acrylic resin base and a high level of pigmentation gives the maximum of coverage in as little as one coat and offers maximum colour reflection. However, on un-primed canvases it is recommend having two coats when used with oil colour. It is fast-drying and non-yellowing, opaque and dries to give an excellent level of tooth to ensure good adhesion to paint and a balanced absorbency. It dries to a non-yellowing, flexible ground suitable for acrylic, oil and alkyd painting. It can be used straight from the pot; dilution is not recommended.
