Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylic Primers are applied before painting and controls the texture, absorbency and the colour of the surface. A good quality primer is essential as the longevity of a painting depends on how the surface has been prepared.
W&N Professional Acrylic Primer have two varients -
Clear Gesso - A gesso made from unpigmented clear resin which dries completely clear. Can also be used to make own coloured gesso primers by the addition of acrylic colours. With a balanced absorbency and excellent tooth this gesso creates the perfect surface upon which to paint.
White Gesso - A gesso with a superior level of pigmentation giving maximum covering power. Creates an ideal surface to paint on offering excellent tooth and a balanced absorbency.
