Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylics Mediums allow artists to fully explore the versatility of acrylics helping to improve durability, extending and enhancing colour and improving flow and brush ability. With the help of mediums W&N Acrylics may be used in a fluid, gestural manner (much like watercolour) and in heavier applications (as with oils) and allow acrylics to be shaped and carved, used for printmaking or for virtually any other technique.

Gloss Gel - Increases transparency, depth and gloss of colour. It dries completely clear to an even, gloss finish. 

Matt Gel - Decreases the gloss of the colour. It dries completely clear to an even, matte finish. 

W&N Gels when mixed with colour the thickness of the colour is maintained, so the paint retains brush strokes and palette knife marks for excellent impasto effects. Its gels consistency is thicker than Gloss and matt medium, matching the luxuriously thick and buttery consistency of the colour.
