Viarco ArtGraf Soft Carbon Water-Soluble Pencils is a charcoal pencil with a vintage design. The lead of these pencils is extremely thick, dense and rich black which can be blended, lifted and moved around with the addition of little water. It almost looks like charcoal on paper but is heavier, less messy and feels a bit sticky to use.

The Soft Carbon pencil are very similar to traditional charcoal pencil with a special composition making it very soft and feels like a crayon. It makes very dark but not incredibly sharp line that is great for touching up a drawing line with very accents. The lead stick inside the pencil is very thick, which looks very interesting and makes the pencil last longer. The body is round and black, embossed in gold writing.

This soft carbon pencil with small amount of water rubbed on top of pencil marks on paper, spreads like a watercolour. Artists using watercolor could easily use this as a very dark black for dark shading, as black watercolor cannot easily be pure black – it usually turns grey when the water is added.

This Ultra Smooth, Pigment rich soft carbon pencil have a water-soluble lead of 5 mm diameter, length – 7” making it easy to blend and shade.
