Pebeo’s Fantasy Prisme are a range of opalescent and daring, opaque colours that reveal stunning honeycomb and textured effects when applied generously on horizontal surfaces. Magnificent abstract effects are obtained when dropped or poured on a flat horizontal surface such as: glass, canvas, metal, wood, mirror, Plexiglas, acetate, plastic, and ceramic. Available in a variety of brilliant colours, they can be used to mimic stone, marble, or precious metal on jewellery and other decorative art pieces.
The Fantasy Prisme range includes 28 colours in 45 ml bottles. These paints, used alone or applied with a painting tool will retract, distend and intertwine to give life to original combinations, abstract textures and designs. And when the paints begin to play between opacity and opalescence your art work becomes a gem of emotions. These colours are solvent based, ready to use and intermixable. These pearlescent, opaque colours have good lightfastness and are compatible with all other products included in the Pébéo Mixed Media program, which are Pebeo Studio Acrylics, Vitrail Colours, Vitrail Cernes Relief outliner, Gedeo Resins & mirror effect leaves, Glazing Resin and Fantasy Moon.
The Fantasy Prisme paints create astonishing contrasts and unique effects which vary according to whether they are used alone, mixed with one another or combined with Fantasy Moon, Vitrail or Ceramic paints. The Pébéo Cerne Relief may be used to create outlines to contain and delineate the Fantasy Prisme colours. The thicker the application, the more defined and accentuated the honeycomb effects will be. A thinner application will create more subtle effects. The Fantasy Prisme honeycomb effect is lessened when used in combination with Fantasy Moon. Fantasy Prisme can be used over colours and mediums from the Studio Acrylics line as well as with Gedeo Resins and Mirror Effect Metal Leaf.
We recommend that you use a soft, natural / synthetic fibre brush, such as Pebeo Iris, Princeton VelveTouch, Escoda Ultimo, Escoda Prado, Escoda Versatil, Princeton Miniature or any of the soft bristle brushes available on our website. Clean the brushes and droppers thoroughly with odourless mineral spirits, General’s Brush Cleaner or white spirit and rinse with soapy water.
Thoroughly stir the paint with a wooden stick prior to application to obtain a homogeneous and fluid colour. Do not shake. Deposit the colour with a dropper or directly from the bottle onto a flat horizontal surface. The honeycomb effect reveals itself while the paint is drying (5 to 10 minutes). The length of time required for the colours to be completely dry varies according to the thickness of the application. A 1/16“ (2 mm) thick application of Fantasy Prisme is dry to the touch after 24 hours and completely dry after 72 hours. Wait a minimum of 7 days before adding a coat of resin over completely dry colours.
