101 Imperial Nib - Flexible for ornamental work, bronze finish. Most popular nibs for both Copperplate and Spencerian. Super-flexible and very sharp, this nib produces beautiful line variation, from tiny hairlines to super swells. May snag on very rough paper but can handle some light texture. This nib is ideal for intermediate or advanced level calligraphers and is not recommended for beginners.

512 Bowl Pointed Nib - Fine pen for ruling and lettering. Hunt 512 is a large, stiff, bowl-shaped nib with an extra-fine point and moderate flex. Can produce decent hairlines but not much line variation. Great for ruling and modern calligraphy styles, as well as for use on textured papers. This nib is an excellent choice for beginner calligraphers.

513EF Globe Nib - Extra fine bowl pointed for industrial arts. Hunt 513EF is a reliable, uniform globe nib with an extra-fine point. Fairly stiff, but durable and long-lasting. Low line variation makes this nib more suitable for modern calligraphy styles than Copperplate or Spencerian. An excellent choice for beginner calligraphers, as well as for use on textured surfaces.

22B Extra Fine Nib - Medium stiff, bronze finish. Hunt 22B has an excellent range of flexibility and requires more pressure to create thick swells. Suitable for Copperplate and Spencerian scripts, ornamental work and ruling.

56 School Nib - Stiff action, fine drawing pen for student use, bronze finish. Hunt 56 requires lot of pressure to create big swells, and it can produce decent hairlines. Performs well on both smooth and textured papers. Calligraphers of all skill levels will enjoy this nib, but it is especially good for beginners.

99 Drawing Nib - Extra fine point especially for drafting and lithography. This extremely flexible nib features an extra fine point and can produce thick swells with minimal pressure.  Perfect for artists with a light touch working on smooth papers. The Hunt 99 is best for modern calligraphy styles or drawing, but it can produce hairlines small enough for Copperplate. Not suitable for Spencerian.
