Pebeo Extra Fine Auxiliaries - Solvents for Oil Colours
Pebeo’s range of solvents and thinners are used to liquefy oil paints, mediums and most varnishes by thinning them. They are also used to clean painting tools.
Rectified Turpentine - Its volatile oil used to dissolve the top layers of oil colours. Obtained from the distilled resin of certain varieties of pine, it gives a matt aspect which is less accentuated than that achieved with Pebeo essential oil of petroleum. Turpentine is a good diluent that gives you light colours. While using oil paints if you find the colour to be too thick, you can dilute it in this Rectified Turpentine for the perfect shade. It also allows a longer working time with the paint.
Odourless Mineral Spirit - Common organic solvent used in oil painting. Derived from the distillation of petroleum, this clear solvent can be used as an alternative to Turpentine. It gives a matt look which is less accentuated than that achieved with Pebeo essential oil of petroleum. It offers a solution near turpentine while having the advantage of being nearly odourless.
Universal Paint Remover - Highly efficient strong solvent strips that remove dried oil, acrylic or other material on all painting tools. It works in 15-30 minutes and can be rinsed off in water. Rinse well in the event it gets in contact with skin.
Brush Cleaner - Suitable for use with all painting tools. It dissolves acrylic and varnishes even when dry and retains the suppleness and the form of brushes. It works in 20 minutes and can be rinsed off in soapy water.
