Objects modeled with polymer clay can be hardened without changing its’ shape or dimensions, simply by baking them. Papa's Clay softens very quickly in your hands and it becomes suitable for modeling. Hardened figures can be further shaped by a chisel, scalpel, file or sandpaper. Hardened figures can be baked many times, in the case there is a need to add more material to it.
Papa’s Clay are 75 gram polymer clays, 34% more than most competitors such as Sculpey, FIMO, Cernit, etc. These are oven hardening modelling clays.
Papa’s clay are soft to handle and easy for modelling. Have a unique texture, without odors or allergens and do not stick to surfaces. They do not collect dirt or dust and change shape or colour with time. Only 15 min baking is required at 130°C in a conventional oven. The polymer clays have very high flexibility after hardening. They are non-toxic and Gluten free.
Instructions for use
Clay softens very quickly in your hands and becomes suitable for modelling. Roll a piece of Papa’s clay and knead gently till it is workable. If the clay is too hard for you can heat it with the hair dryer or a heat gun. Do not put it in a Pasta machine or similar device to soften, always make it workable first. Always work with clean hands on a clean surface. You can use a wide variety of tools to shape the clay, such as: spatulas, rolling-pins, knives etc. Any other desired shade can be achieved by kneading together various colours. Wood, wire support can be used as base materials.
Hardening
Any home oven is suitable for hardening Papa’s clay. Preheat the oven at 130°C / 265°F. Depending on the size of the model and the thickness of the walls, the hardening process takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. If you have many layers you can bake the clay several times. Do not use a microwave oven or do not boil in water.
Storage
Store Papa’s clay covered by aluminium foil or in PE vacuum bags at the room temperature.
Warning
For children over 8 years only. Younger children should only use this clay under adult supervision. Modelling clay should not be put in the mouth. Do not exceed a baking time of 15 minutes.
