Coating - The Mona Lisa canvas is applied with an initial base coat (undercoat) followed by the finishing thin layers to achieve the desired finish. Formulated on the basis of a thermoplastic binder, these layers absorb shocks and deformations of the canvas, limit the risks of crackling and the phenomena of micro cracking.
