Factis Artist Engraving Blocks are plates made of soft & flexible pliable vinyl which is ideal for carving techniques. Its soft surfaces allow clean incisions to be made to give a raised, curved finish. It permits precise line definitions & detailed work in various thicknesses. Also used to produce rubber stamps. The thickness allows cutting on both sides.

The smooth surfaces can be easily cut without crumbling. Prints can be produced by applying hand pressure or by using a roller on the block over the area to be printed. Latex-free block. Does not contain phthalates or banned heavy metal. Use of solvent causes damage to the block.

These plates are 0.6cm thick and are useable on both sides. After use they can be quickly and easily cleaned and reused. Work can be coloured with water soluble and serigraphic inks, textile and screen-printing inks and ink pads. Perfect for relief techniques. Use on papers, card, and fabric. You can draw on the surface with pencil and it will be easily visible against the light blue surface. All linocut tools will work well with this surface.
