Dr. Ph. Martin’s Black Star Waterproof India Ink is a lightfast, archival grade, permanent, non-clogging, non-spreading, non-toxic, extremely high carbon content ink ideal for use on acetate where density and line integrity are most important. It also works well on paper, illustration board and canvas. It produces excellent results when used with technical pens or calligraphy dip pens. It can be used for cartooning, comics, designing, lettering, calligraphy, airbrushing, illustrating, painting and a myriad of design and fine art applications. It is excellent for use as a flat black wash. It can be used in technical pens with a tip size of 0.134 mm or larger, as well as with brushes, dip pens, and airbrushes.

Dr. Ph. Martin’s Black Star Waterproof India Ink is available in a 1.0 oz (30 ml) bottle with a dropper. While extremely opaque, this ink contains no varnish or shellac. It dries fast to a waterproof glossy surface that holds up well to erasing. It is recommended not to use this ink in fountain pens.
