Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth Gioconda Pencils are specially designed for drawing and contouring. Made from high-quality natural pigments, these unique, earth toned pencils allows artists to obtain smooth finish associated with conventional pastels without the mess. They can also be used for cross-hatching, detailing with round soft pastels, smudging, and mixing with other colours. They are highly pigmented, with a buttery smooth feel, and have excellent blending and toning characteristics on dark or light surfaces. All colours are lightfast and fade resistant which ensures that your artwork will last long.
Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth Gioconda Pencils comes in three colours – White / Red / Light Brown / Dark Brown. The pencils are encased in California cedar wood which allows for easy sharpening.
Extra fine artificial charcoal which is used as an equivalent to natural charcoal. The lead is set into cedar wood. It is manufactured in three hardness degrees 2, 3 and 4. It is used for drawing in combination with graphite pencils and pencil Negro.
The White charcoal appears to be contradictory, but it suggests writing properties that resemble black charcoal. It is suitable for drawing on coloured papers, it is perfectly highlighted on black background. It is manufactured in three hardness degrees 2, 3 and 4.
Negro Chalk Pastel Pencils are made of premium quality materials and are highly pigmented. These chalk pencils are excellent for detailed work, outlines, toning, colouring and various shading techniques. They are highly blendable. The rich pigment is perfect for deep shading.
The primary characteristic of these pencils is that they are easily wiped off the surface, which helps to spread the colourful dust all over the surface. This painting technique offers immense possibilities of changing the capacity and tone. With smudging and erasing we can readily achieve shades in the painting. The low adhesion to the medium allows toning and the creation of simple crossing. The lightfastness and dosed concentration influence outcome as well as the durability of the artworks. After the artwork has been completed, it is recommended to apply a preparation fixative over it to prevent subsequent blurring.
