While formulated to possess the working properties of oil-based inks (permanence, tack, etc.), Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Inks are easily cleaned up with soap and water and have an open time that is like that of other water-soluble block printing inks. Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Transparent Extender is available to create transparent colour while maintaining viscosity.
These inks are designed to print onto smooth fabrics that do not possess a heavy texture or stretch such as cotton, linen, broadcloth, or denim. Nylon and canvas are not recommended. Ideally suited for inking the block can be of lino, wood or any similar surface and soft rubber rollers or brayers.
Speedball’s Fabric Block Printing Inks will dry to the touch overnight depending on climate and they do not require any setting with heat. It is recommended to wait for 4-7 days before washing fabrics after printing.

No Heat Set Required – This ink requires no heat set to get a permanent result! Simply let the ink dry overnight and it will be dry to the touch in the morning. Wait at least one week before washing
