Pebeo Studio Acrylics Gels is a non-yellowing acrylic gel with a translucent finish after drying that can be used alone or mixed with acrylic colours to increase transparency, depth, volume, flow, levelling, and drying time. It is ideal for glazing and creating collage, impastos, and inlays. Of thicker consistency than Bindex, these gels prepare and give depth to colours. When dry, they are waterproof and display excellent flexibility.

The gels are used to prepare acrylic colours. These gels, once dry, create a perfect surface on which to apply Fantasy Moon and Prisme, Vitrail, and Ceramic paints as well as Gedeo Resins and Mirror Effect Metal Leaf. Studio Acrylics range gels are less consistent and shrink more upon drying than Artist Acrylics range gels. Studio acrylics mediums are compatible with all products from the Pebeo mixed media program for experimenting and mixing techniques with creative inspiration to render an array of incredible mixed media art pieces.

Sand Texture Gel - Ready to use, acrylic polymer and coloured sand-based gels. With its granular texture, it is ideal for creating interesting textures and dimensional effects. Available in black, white, red, and yellow.

Gloss Gel - Glossy, translucent finish after drying that can be used alone or mixed with acrylic colours. Preferred by Mixed Media and Art Journaling artists for collages with a gloss finish when attaching thicker paper, photographs, and objects, or when creating texture on pieces of artwork.

Matt Gel - Matt, translucent finish after drying that can be used alone or mixed with acrylic colours. Preferred by Mixed Media and Art Journaling artists for collages with a Matt finish when attaching thicker paper, photographs, and objects, or when creating texture on pieces of artwork.

Phosphorescent Gels - Ready to use, phosphorescent gels. Pebeo Phosphorescent gels absorb natural or artificial light and re-emit it in the dark. Their colour in daytime and their phosphorescence at night will be more visible when applied to a white or light-coloured surface. Dries completely transparent.

Application - Apply a thick layer and then try scraping, stamping, or embedding objects in the paint surface. They are preferably applied with a painting knife or mix them with acrylic colours and mediums. Let it dry and then try painting additional colours over the top. Keep it away from dust and allow it to dry. It dries to the touch in 30 minutes to 1 hour and completely dry in 1-8 days depending on the thickness. For an average application, drying time is around 6-12 hours. Keep away from freezing. Clean the tools with water after use before the gel dries onto it.
