Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bombay India Ink is a range of pigment based, acid free, archival grade, intermixable, lightfast, permanent, non-clogging, non-toxic, non-spreading colours designed for use with brushes in traditional watercolour techniques or in dip pens, technical drawing pens, and airbrushes. These brilliant inks can be used for cartooning, designing, rubberstamping, lettering, calligraphy, fountain pens, background washes, watercolour painting and a myriad of design and fine art applications. The ink adheres to nearly all surfaces including paper, wood, plastic, vinyl, board and metal.
Dr. Ph. Martin's Bombay India Inks offer 24 powerful colours in 30 ml convenient dropper-stopper glass bottles. All the colours are brilliant and transparent, except black and white, which are opaque and have excellent covering power. They dry to a rich velvety waterproof matte finish that allows for working over as well as for providing easily photographed reproduction art. Since India ink is permanent, you can paint over it and the paint will stay. The inks can be diluted with water without affecting the permanency of the colour. The colours can be enriched through glazing by using a gloss spray varnish or any acrylic based gloss varnish.
