Canson Vidalon paper has been developed in consultation with artists in direct response to their needs. It is a watercolour paper, made use traditional techniques on a traditional cylinder mould machine.
Canson Vidalon paper has a texture close to that of traditional handmade paper. Made with 100% cellulose, it allows retouching and corrections. Its prominent (Medium) grain enables composition with texture and depth. Its reinforced layering reveals the transparency of pigments and gives vibrancy to colours.
Canson Vidalon paper is acid-free, without optical enhancers, mould resistant (fungicidally treated) and conforms to the ISO 9706 standard for an ideal conservation over time. Since, Vidalon paper is Archival; it is the ideal paper for artists doing wet techniques with watercolours, gouache and acrylics.
