Canson Moulin du Roy is a watercolour paper produced on a traditional cylinder mould machine. It has the look and feel of a handmade paper. Its 100% cotton quality gives it both ideal absorbency and superior strength.
Canson Moulin du Roy is an acid-free and archival paper that features enhanced surface cohesion to allow the application of several layers of paint without damaging the surface.
Internal and surface sizing permit the lifting of dried colour and the opportunity to refine and rework the watercolour. The stock and surface sizing allow for easy and even spread of pigments (they appear brighter).
Canson Moulin du is naturally white, acid free, mould resistant and made entirely without bleaching agents.
The paper is extremely well suited for watercolours and gouache and can be used with acrylics as well! It is ideal for wet-on-wet techniques. Available in three surface grains; satin, fine and rough. Also, the paper is available in two thicknesses; 640 and 300 g/m2.
